Two weeks ago I ran this crazy 5k of my life, with my two colorful kids. Just imagine hundreds of silly people, wearing tutus, snorkels with diving masks, super hero costumes and anything else that would get a laugh; then to be blasted with a different color at every kilometer.

They say that the color is a special “elf made” recipe of magical color dust and that it’s 100% natural and safe. They also said that is washes off easily. Hum! That part isn’t true; my feet are still an odd colored blue. But it was all worth it. If the COLOR RUN comes to your town do it! If you truly love color, you don’t want to miss it….blue feet and all.

At a time when everyone’s making their dollars count, I’ll be the first to admit that it can be difficult to cough up $5.00 for a very small box of cookies. Even if those Thin Mints are perhaps the best thing that will ever cross your lips. But before you say no, to those adorable, pint-sized cookie peddlers, think again. The sales of Girl Scout Cookie help girls to develop a strong sense of self-confidence, team building, goal setting, money management and much more. You see, cookies are powerful treats.

Now seriously! Can you think of anything else, that will give you this kind of return on your investment, for just a five bucks? So buy one, buy two, buy many because…You are Investing in Our Future Leaders.

You never know, one of those little girls might be our future US president,  the scientist who discovers the cure for cancer or the leader who initiates world peace.
